Book Your ConsultationWhy San Antonio Clients Choose Savvy Aesthetics
Pigment correction requires the right laser settings for your specific skin tone and the depth of the pigment — too aggressive, and you risk irritation or rebound pigmentation. At Savvy Aesthetics, we evaluate your skin and pigment type before treatment to choose settings that get results safely, and see you through the full process at every visit.

Questions
How many sessions will I need?
Most clients see meaningful fading after 1–3 sessions, depending on how deep and how extensive the pigmentation is.
Is there downtime?
Treated spots often darken and flake off over 1–2 weeks — this is a normal part of the healing process, not a side effect to worry about.
Will the pigment come back?
New pigment can form from future sun exposure, so daily SPF is essential to maintain your results.
Is this the same as treating melasma?
No — melasma is a different, hormonally-influenced condition that requires a more cautious approach. See our dedicated melasma page for details.
Does it hurt?
Most clients describe a warm, snapping sensation. Topical numbing can be used for larger areas if needed.
